Noriko: I saw a roach on my ceiling, and I was scared stiff. I hate them.

Rick: Did you kill it? 

Noriko: I sprayed it with bug spray.

Rick: Which one have you seen recently?

Tim: Did you find out who edited the report?

John: I have no clue. Did you ask Mark in the sales department?

Be a good sport: be able to laugh at jokes and pranks that involve you

Rick: We played a prank on Sam and everyone laughed at him.

Noriko: That’s terrible.

Rick: But he was a good sport and laughed alongside the rest of us.

I’ll catch you later: I’ll see you later.

Tim: Hey buddy, I’ll catch you later. Going to meet some friends for drinks. 

Sam: Alright, take care and see you tomorrow.

 

Drop someone a line: write a short letter to someone

Noriko: What are you doing?

Sam: Dropping a line to my friend in Norway. Going to send this letter after I finish writing it. 

Rip something off/ rip someone off: steal something/steal from someone.

Tim: What’s going on?

Noriko: I feel terrible. My purse got ripped off last night. All of my belongings are gone.
