Jim: Hey is that your new car?

Noriko: Yes, what do you think?

Jim: I like it! Seems fast.

Noriko: It is. Here, I’ll give you a lift to your work today so you can see how smooth it drives.

Die of a broken heart: die from sadness

News Report:

77 year old, Gerald Altman dies of natural causes in his home of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His passing is just a year after the death of his spouse, Edith Altman. Some say his death was a surprise, while others say he died of a broken heart. He will be missed by friends and loved ones.

Difficult -> 一般的な難しさ

Hard -> 精神的 ・ 肉体的な労力

Impossible -> 手に負えない、不可能な

Challenging -> 難しさを前向きにとらえる

Ashamed -> 行動を恥じる

1. A man must be ashamed of it.

2. =男ならこういうのは恥じるべきだ。

Embarrassed -> きまりが悪い

1. Do not be embarrassed by your mistake.

2. =あなたの失敗のせいで恥ずかしがらないで。

3. I was so embarrassed

Foolish -> 馬鹿げている

1. I finally realized how foolish I was.

2. =私がどれくらいバカだったのか気づいた。

3. He is so foolish as to belive that.

4. =彼はそれを信じるくらいバカだ。

2. =今日は本当に最高でした！

Excellent -> 最大級のほめ言葉

1. That university has an excellent program.

2. =あの大学には素晴らしいプログラムがある。
