Noriko: Have you seen Amy? She's steaming.

Sam: Why?

Noriko: She got into an argument with her boyfriend over the phone during her lunch break. 

*直訳すると「湯気がでる」ですが、日本語では「怒っている」という意味です。
日本語の「湯気が出るほど怒っている」などの表現と似ていますね。

ノリコ「エイミーを見かけた？彼女怒っているのよ」
サム「なんで？」
ノリコ「彼女、お昼休みの間に、電話で彼氏と喧嘩したのよ」
